Overview

  • Separating Plastic & Brass Zippers
  • Round, Flat & Rectangular Cable Shapes
  • Sizes 1/2" & Up; Lengths 100 Ft. Max.
  • High Strength & Flexing Applications
  • Best for High Frequency Re-Entry
  • Custom Colors & Slider Configurations

Coil zippers consist of fine, molded Delrin® interlocking coil teeth attached to a separating Polyester fabric tape which has a fixed start and stop point. The zipper is closed via a self-locking slider which make a zipper installation tool free. Coil zippers provide a lightweight, highly flexible, closure system for cables where a tool-free installation is desired and the open/closure cycle frequency is likely to be high. Coil zippers perform the best when limited to cable bundle diameters of 1.0 inch and smaller and on flat ribbon cables of 2.0" wide or less. Coil zippers should only be used in applications that are free of dirt and debris which could cause jamming. For larger and more rugged applications use a "toothed zipper" style. Zippers cannot be cut to length on site at the time of installation so assembly length must be known at the time of order. Zippers items are typically commercial items and meet the manufactures performance specification; however they can be procured in compliance to A-A-55634.
