Overview
- Drag and Noise Reduction
- One Piece Construction
- Excellent Abrasion & chemical resistance
- Excellent Flexibility
- Moored Buoys in Tidal Surge & Currents
The MCF-10 Moored Cable Fairing is designed to significantly reduce the vibration, noise, and drag created by water movement across the tether cable of a moored buoy. The fairing allows underwater instrumentation associated with moored platforms to work to their full potential.
The MCF-10 material offers good wear resistance, high tear strength, flexibility, and oil and hydrocarbon resistance, in addition to being impervious to saltwater. The MCF-10 fairings long lengths and flexibility allows for an easy installation and is the answer to many tethered cable problems. Refer to Zippertubing’s installation document Moored & Towed Cable Fairings User Guide.
*It is recommended to size Zippertubing marine fairings at least 1/8” larger than the cable diameter
