  • Lightweight RoHS-10 compliant PVC jacket and SH1 aluminum foil provides shielding for cables and wires
  • Polyacetal snap-button closure allows for quick application an reentry
  • Includes a 15 AWG tin/copper drain wire for proper grounding

Snap-Grip® (Al) boasts a nylon snap-button closure and a PVC jacket with SH1 EMI shielding aluminum foil. As the first solution of its kind to feature this combination, Snap-Grip® (Al) is revolutionizing the field of EMI shielding for wires and cables. The PVC jacketing is flame retardant, RoHS compliant, and is ideal for environments where protection from EMI is required. Additionally, Snap-Grip® (Al) has a 15 AWG tin/copper braid sewn inside for proper grounding.

Snap-buttons are the ideal closure for applications that may require quick access to the components inside. The product can also be cut to length due to the spacing between the snaps.

Snap-Grip® (Al) can be used in a wide range of environments and applications while offering the benefits of easy installation and exceptional EMI shielding properties. Standard diameters range from 0.375” to 4”, with custom sizes available upon request. Snap-Grip® (Al) has an operational temperature range of 5°F to 140°F (-15°C to 60°C).

Q:  What lengths of Snap-Grip jacketing are available?

A:  Snap-Grip comes in standard spool lengths of 25’, 50’, 100’, and 164’.  Custom lengths can also be provided, just make sure to ask when ordering or include details on the PO for the lengths required.

Q:  Can I cut the tubing?

A:  Yes.  Standard scissors are suitable for cutting through Snap-Grip sleeves.

Q:  What diameter of jacketing do I need?  Is it recommended to oversize?

A:  We will often suggest oversizing the sleeve diameter by 1/8” to allow for ease of installation.  If the application requires significant bending or flexing we will suggest even more extra room.  For assistance with sizing you can also contact one of our design engineers.

Q:  What is the minimum bend radius of the tubing?

A:  There is no minimum bend radius for our Snap-Grip products.
The flexible jacketing material allows for extreme amounts of bending and flexing. The bend radius of the installed sleeving is typically dictated by the harness it is covering.

Q:  Is the snap spacing standard or can I have them spaced closer or further apart?

A:  For every material and diameter of Snap-Grip there is a “standard” snap spacing but we can custom adjust the spacing and amount of the snaps to optimize for your installation.
